Money, money, money

Money...

Money is not the root of all evil as some say but the love of money is the root of all evil. We are currently looking at Biblical Economics in CONTAGIOUS. We are teaching on something that is greater than being rich and that is being Blessed. THe Blessing of God makes one rich and adds no sorrow with it.

Come on Sunday and Wednesday nights to hear this life changing message.

So-cial-ly Ac-cept-able

Year ago Toby Mac had a song with his group DC Talk called SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE. That is the heart of POP-CULTURE. What is right in society may not always be or should not be accepted by Christians.

POP-CULTURE is often a silent social killer. PC (Pop-Culture) causes social pain in those who can't keep up with the latest clothing trend or have parents who put a damper on your need to climb a social latter.

My Pastor says, "so Often we climb the ladder of success and eventually find it leaning against the wrong building."

Come Wednesday Night, April 1, 2009 and see where you fit in POP-CULTURE.

NO FOOLING!

toasters and blenders...

are wonderful machines. They have very specific functions that the other cannot do but the similarities they do have are pretty cool.

1. they both exist in my kitchen.

2. I use them both but not for the same purpose

3. when i need them they are available

4. When used correctly they make my life easir.

I cannot put bread in my blender to make toast and I cannot extract juice from fruits with my toaster (by the way I am not offering you nay suggestions, although it sounds fun).

Point is that each person has been given a gift, that gift used at the right time, in the right way and for the right cause will produce better results and with less effort.

God has given gifts to us all and it is our responsibility to use them for His Glory and His cause. We often get jealous when we see others using and prospering in their gifts. We often have a desire for their gift, but what makes their gift so special is that they are using it. Use your gift and let it be a blessing to others and the Kingdom of God.

The last thing about a gift is that whether a toaster or blender, they have to be plugged in to use them. Being plugged into a church, youth group or anyplace that your gift can be used, cultivated and expanded on can bring God glory.

make sure that you do not use God's gift for satans glory. You need to watch out for compromise, temptation and flattery. Satan uses those things to draw you away from God and producing fruit for His kingdom.

Your gift is your responsibility, use it for God!

That is the Definition of COOL. Dowsn't have the same kick when you say it as stated above. Why do we judge everything on a COOL scale and more importantly who really decides what is COOL, YOU? I don't think SO>

The Service was more of an experience that anything we have encountered in Two years. We are venturing outside of the boat and walking on water. If He is on the water then we do not need to be in the boat. WHere God goes we are going as a group and as individuals.

If you are hungry come and get full, There is plenty and i suggest a take home plate.
